About

About Benton Franklin

Bentonfranklin.com is a community hub for the Tri-Cities and the rest of Benton and Franklin counties: one place to answer “what do I need today?” — events, food, local businesses, jobs, newcomer guidance, development and civic help.

What we believe

  • Trust is the product. Utility earns it: named sources, clear inclusion rules, visible corrections and dependable delivery.
  • Free to participate. Every business can be listed, every organizer can submit events and every employer can post standard jobs for free. Paid options buy prominence, never inclusion.
  • Bilingual by default. In Franklin County, 56.9% of residents identify as Hispanic or Latino (Census estimates); our pages are published in English and Spanish together.
  • Local, and staying local. We cover Benton and Franklin counties only — no franchising, ever.
  • No forums, no comment wars. Contributions are one-way and reviewed. Community voice, without the moderation burden.

How the work gets done

Software does the heavy lifting — gathering public listings, structuring facts, drafting translations — and people hold the trust: approving contributions, reviewing civic and safety information, and fixing mistakes. Read our editorial standards and AI policy.
