Historic Dayton

A small Blue Mountains town with the oldest train depot in Washington and the state’s oldest working courthouse, on the way to Bluewood and the Tucannon.

What to do

  • Visit the Dayton Historic Depot museum (free).
  • See the Columbia County Courthouse on Main Street (weekdays 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.).
  • Walk Main Street for lunch.

  • Depot hours: May–September Wednesday–Saturday 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; October–April Wednesday–Saturday 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Closed Dec. 24–Jan. 31.
