Benton City Urban Growth Area expansion proposed

Benton County is considering Comprehensive Plan Amendment CPA 2026-002, which would add about 37.14 acres zoned RL-5 for residential infill and about 17.51 acres zoned as park land to Benton City’s Urban Growth Area.

The Benton County Commissioners have a hearing scheduled for Nov. 3, 2026, the same day as a separate amendment affecting Richland’s Urban Growth Area.
