Lake Lenore Caves
A short climb to shallow caves in the basalt cliffs above Lake Lenore, carved by the same Ice Age floods that shaped the Tri-Cities.
What to do
- Hike the roughly 1.5-mile round trip to a string of caves along the cliff.
- Look down on Lake Lenore and the coulee from the cave mouths.
Getting there
Know before you go
- A Discover Pass is required.
- The trail is rocky with some scrambling; wear real shoes.
- Rattlesnakes are common in warm weather.
