McNary National Wildlife Refuge

What to do

  • Walk the 2.5-mile Quail Trail, a hard-surfaced, wheelchair-accessible interpretive loop.
  • Hike or ride the 4-mile Wallula Unit trail along the Walla Walla River.
  • Bring binoculars in winter for waterfowl and raptors.

Getting there

Know before you go

  • Open daily sunrise to sunset, except as changed by hunting and fishing rules.
  • Dogs are allowed on leash only in some areas; follow posted signs.
  • Hunting happens on parts of the refuge in season.
